Finals Week

During finals week technology has been such a part of my life. During a normal school week I check the email, do the occasional paper but computers can easily be taken away from me. I have my textbooks and my notebooks which is all I really need.
This week I have to constantly check when my tests are, when they post grades and lots of other important information. Without technology being part of my academic life things would be so different. Studying IPOD casts and power points are normal. For many majors you need to be extremely efficient using a computer. The world we live in is based around how you can incorporate technology into everyday tasks. No one is ever content with the way things are. The future presents us with some crazy ideas. Soon enough going to class will be a non-existent thought.

Random Thoughts

I have always had a lot of ideas about general life and sports, but I am finally able to share my thoughts with the world thanks to blogging. The information age is putting everyone’s ideas out there and changing the world as we know it.
So now that the Celtics and Bruins are out of the playoffs I have some thoughts. Let’s start with the Celtics. I believe that Ainge is finally content with the team he has, and they will build around a nucleus of Pierce and Wally. The Celtics have some young players that in time should develop into very respectable players. I am from Boston so I am extremely optimistic, but I feel that Pierce is good enough to lead us to success in the future.
The Bruins on the other hand are a wreck. They have the cheapest owner in professional sports, keep trading away their superstars and still expect to sell out every night. I love hockey, Boston loves hockey but unless they have a GM and an owner who put winning as the first priority there will be more rough years in Boston.

Opening Day at Fenway

Well the Sox are 6-1, first in the major leagues. The Yankees also referred to as the "Evil Empire" are three games behind us. Today was opening day at Fenway, which I always thought should be changed to a holiday so everyone can watch the game. Being in Indiana, I did not get to see the game but they beat Toronto 5-3. The rookie Adam Stern who is currently playing for the injured Coco Crisp had a great game. Beckett started off having some trouble in the first inning. He pitched 36 pitches and walked 3. He was able to settle down by pitching seven innings and only allowing 1 earned run. I am getting pumped. Beckett and Schilling are looking great; the new guys in the infield are also looking good. It is a long season, but hopefully more success will be in the near future. GO SOX!

My Theme: Boston Sports

I go to Indiana University, but I grew up right outside of Boston. I am a diehard fan of the big 4; Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. Being from the east coast, and just being the person I am I have an opinion on almost everything. I like to give my two cents, espically when I care about the issue. I will be posting my thoughts and ideas on what is going on with everything. Give me some feed back and ill get back to you.
